Composite Formulation

The Composites formulation module is a least cost application, integrated in the NDS platform, which aims is to automatically optimize a batch mix formula at a minimum cost.

In the batch mix formulation, the idea is to make a fixed quantity of a blend setting a specification, which is a set of constraints, defining what the minimum and maximum inclusion rates are of ingredients and nutrients in a diet to be formulated. In other words, the composite is subject to constraints on minimum and maximum nutrient concentration levels as well as minimum and maximum feed inclusion constraints. Also, you can explore the impact of various nutrient concentrations and ingredient prices on finished formulas.

The units of the nutrients in the batch are the same as those of the constituent feeds.

This feature allows you to make mixes (protein, energy, mineral-vitamin, etc.) at minimum cost. These mixes can be used directly in the formulation of rations for a specific farm and/or for multiple farms and rations, improving their profitability. Also you can send composites to the feed mill for their production and commercialization, getting high level of integration with the work on the field.

In order to protect your formulation knowledge and technology, the module also allows to export formulas of composites or premixes in encrypted form, which will be unreadable after import, or to protect them with a password – they will be accessible only by inserting the password assigned during the export.
