FEED CLONING

Cloning is an advanced functionality allowing a complete and correct characterization of a feed (feed to be cloned); it includes and/or update the calculation constants (parameters of dynamic characterization) taken from a reference feed included in the official Feed Library (master feed used for cloning). For example, if you want to correctly characterize corn silage, the cloning function will consider dynamic parameters (degradation rate, intestinal digestibility, amino acids, etc.) from a corn silage with similar analytical characteristics included in the Feed Library.

Cloning Function can be usefully used in various cases:

-       Archiving a new feed using data coming from the laboratory, whether you manually or automatically import the file;

-       Archiving a new feed which data come from other formulation software that do not foreseen a complete characterization for CNCPS (CPM Dairy, Format, Brill, etc.);

-       Characterization update of an already existing file;

-       Update of dynamic data of feeds included in the official Feed Library which have to be adopted from User’s feeds.
