In some cases, a mix included in a recipe or a composite, can have some of its ingredients without a cost for the selected set and origin of cost. This could determine an unexpected/incorrect total cost of the recipe or composite, mainly if the user is not aware of these “missing” costs.
NDS provides a way to warn that there are ingredients without cost in the mix, setting a red border around the cell that contains the cost in the recipe/composite screen and in the specifications screen in the case of a recipe.
If the mix has a selling price, the warning is not shown, even if some of its ingredients are without a cost; in fact, in this case the total cost of the recipe or of the formula is not determined by the formula cost of the mix, but by its selling price, so the total cost can be considered correct. Similarly, if all the ingredients of the mix are without costs, the warning is not shown, because the cost of the mix is also zero and the cost cell of the mix is empty, instead of showing a potentially ambiguous cost.
