In order to apply a protection to a feed, go to the Info tab of the feed (this could be accomplished in different ways, e.g. opening the feed from the feed list and then clicking on the Info tab).
Checking the Protection check box will set the protection on (Feed locked). If you uncheck the check box it is possible to remove the protection (Feed unlocked)
After this operation the owner of the feed will still be able to modify the feed, that will be locked after an export or if a recipe, including that feed as ingredient, and saved in an external file. In the feed list, locked feeds are displayed with a padlock icon.
